Award Winning Quad Vena now in India

Last updated on Jan 11, 2015 By Editorial Staff

The QUAD VENA is a 45w Integrated Amplifier with apt-X Bluetooth and a built in DAC with USB, SPDIF, Optical inputs. It also includes analogue inputs and a remote control.

Quad Vena

The Quad Vena is a highly versatile system hub with connectivity options for a wide variety of sources both analogue and digital. At the heart of the Vena is a high current 45w Class AB amplifier fed by a quality analogue pre-amplification stage. Quad’s heritage in creating some of the worlds greatest amplifiers is clearly present here with a smooth and natural sound which is a pleasure to listen to even when driving larger loudspeakers.

Quad Vena

The QUAD VENA can accept almost all digital sources. There is optical and coaxial digital inputs for traditional digital audio sources, a USB input for connecting the Vena to your PC or Mac and an additional USB input for connection to iOS devices (iPod, iPhone, iPad). Along with the “plug-in” connectivity options, the Vena is capable of receiving your music wirelessly via Bluetooth with aptX.

Used in the professional recording industry for many years, aptX is becoming the industry standard format for transmitting CD quality audio over wireless transmission (Bluetooth). The Vena is compatible with all smartphones and tablets along with PC’s and Mac’s equipped with Bluetooth technology.

In addition to the amplified speaker output the Vena has a front panel headphone socket, optical and coaxial digital outputs and analogue pre-outs for connection to a power amplifier if required.

Housed in a single chassis with styling inspired by the famous QC 22 Control Unit from the 1950’s the new Quad Vena provides the necessary amplification to realise the highest quality of your music collection.

QUAD VENA wins Hi-Fi Choice Group Test Award!

The Quad Vena trounces all its rivals in a six-way group test in the November 2014 issue of Hi-Fi Choice, the audiophile buyer’s guide.

Quad’s little marvel beats all-comers from the likes of Cambridge Audio, Monitor Audio, NAD and TEAC to finish top of the pile, thanks to its class-leading sound quality. Quite rightly, the review highlights the fact that Vena is a high-quality integrated amplifier that just happens to offer the convenience of wireless streaming via aptX Bluetooth – not the other way round. This is the key difference between Vena and its sonically inferior rivals.
